Enjoying Cider

JOIN US IN CIDER

The Northwest Cider Society was created by a group of devoted cider enthusiasts more than 20 years ago and formalized in 2000. We are dedicated to promoting hard cider and teaching about all aspects of cider enjoyment and production. Over the years, NWCS has organized several seminars, national cider competitions, and most recently joining Washington State University in bringing a world-renowned British cider expert, Peter Mitchell to teach week-long classes for commercial and hobby cider producers.

As an added benefit to members and to make hard cider more visible to the public, organized special chefs’ cider dinners, visits to local cideries and less formal commercial and hobby cider tastings. The Cider Society also supports the ongoing cider apple research program at the Washington State University research station in Mount Vernon.
